Old Boy - Robert Riley

Robert Riley is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of bp Trinidad and Tobago. Prior to this, he held the positions of Business Unit Leader and Vice President, Law and Government Affairs.

An attorney-at-law, he is an honours graduate (LLB 1st class honours) from the University of the West Indies, holds an LEC from Hugh Wooding Law School and is a member of the Law Association of Trinidad & Tobago. He holds a BSc degree (1st class honours) in Agricultural Science from the University of the West Indies.

Riley is dedicated to national development through the growth of the oil and gas industry. He is sensitive to the socio-economic challenges for the country as well as the region. In 2003, Riley was awarded the Chaconia Gold medal (National Award) for his contribution to national economic development in Trinidad & Tobago.

He is the first national to be appointed to the position of Chairman since the company began operations nearly four decades ago.

Riley is a an accomplished pianist and guitarist.
